The challenges and beauty of owning a house

We are in the process of buying a house. A "new" house. Well, at least new for us...
The fact is, that the house dates back to 1968, and has about nothing we need.
Why are still so stupid to buy it?
Very good question..

Well, we fell in love with the yard.
The yard is about 0.5 acres, facing north, which means that we can enjoy the sunshine without getting to much heat through direct sunshine through the windows.
We will also enjoy the evening sun shining toward west, straight through our pool, at least that's what we hope so.

There is only a "minor" challenge before we can lay back and enjoy a barbeque in our back yard.
And that is .. construction.
Yeahh.. Not renovation, as we originally planned, but construction.
It will include making additions to the house, changing the roof structure and the roof, as well as completely remodelling our house.
Sounds SCARRY..

Luckily I have a hubby who is very good at looking over large projects, and I hope that I, myself, will be able to learn some discipline on the go.

If you have time and interest to have a peek at our project over the next few months, you might see us crying, and laughing, and celebrating, and yeah, cursing, while we try to fulfill our dreams.
